MLAK

MLAK (Karlee-Anne Louise Mackie) was born with crayons in her hand, painting and expressing her ideas through words and imagery from a very young age. As Australia’s first female professional free surfer turned artist, based in Byron Bay NSW, her approach to painting is organic, adapting and evolving to create work that plays with motif in space.

MLAK’s talent is versatile and recognised. Her works are colourful, cheeky and lots of fun. In addition to her visual artworks, she has lent her skills to international brands and notable families alike.

MLAK is represented by Thom Gallery in Byron Bay but you can visit her in her working space in the Lumber Yard, Bangalow where she will welcome you for a chat.
